After nine years of successful sales in the Latvian beer market, the Cēsu Premium bottle has been re-designed. This year JSC Cēsu alus is investing a total of 450 000 lats in the improvement of production and packaging processes for the glass line, the new Cēsu Premium bottle is one stage of this investment project, in the development of which 150 000 lats have been invested.
The new Cēsu Premium not only looks new and exquisite, but is also specially brewed to achieve a wholesome flavour. The new beer is special because at the end of the beer brewing process it is not pasteurized as the majority of beer types are. Instead it is filtered through very fine filters. Natural filtration provides the clearness of the beer, and it does not lose the very finest flavour nuances. The new beer will stand out in its unique green bottle, which is specially designed for Cēsu Premium brand. The Cēsu Premium beer can has also been re-designed, and it has received multiple Product of the Year awards.
This year investment amounting to almost half a million lats is the most significant in the company operation – assets are being invested in the modernisation of the plant technical equipment, which allows the company to provide a more powerful filling process and various types of packaging.
Chairwoman of JSC Cēsu alus Board Eva Sietiņsone Zatlere: “Although the economic situation in the country has increased demand for low-budget products, we still look beyond the crisis and continue to invest in the development of our flagship Cēsu Premium.”
Cēsu Premium brand development:
- 2001 – beer brand Cēsu Premium is created
- 2005 – Cēsu Premium can – the first in Latvia with a foil lid, to maintain the hygiene level of the packaging
- 2006 – 2008 Cēsu Premium can in a unique design each year (design by the young artists, relief surface, photo design)
- 2006 – 2009 Cēsu Premium receives the award “Product of the Year” each year
- 2009 – Cēsu Premium in a pint can (0.568 l).
