In recent years the beer market in Latvia experiences an increase in demand for Belgium’s favourite beer with various types of juice, such as kriek or beer with cherry juice. Taking into account the popularity and positive growth of this market segment, JSC Cēsu alus has supplemented the popular Brūža beer line and since March you can find the new Brūža Plum beer in the shops. Along with the creation of Brūža Plum beer, a new name for the Brūža beer line was created – Brūža Ogu brūvējumi (Brūža beer berry brews). Thus, beer with juice is separated from the rest of the Brūža beer line by name and design to emphasize the beer style and unique flavours.

Brūža beer has won its place in the Latvian beer market and ranks among the top ten beer brands in Latvia. The line Brūža Ogu Brūvējumi is made up of consumer-favoured Brūža Cherry, Brūža Raspberry beer and now it’s complemented by Brūža Plum beer. According to market data, in 2018, compared to 2017, when the first berry brew – Brūža Cherry was introduced, sales of Berry brews doubled.

The success of our products is based on their high quality and taste qualities of the products, as well as the high percentage of natural juices in Brūža Berry brews – cherry, raspberry and plum. Brūža Plum beer contains 7% natural plum juice, which makes this beer fruity, juicy, with a pronounced plum aroma, while the bitterness of the hops preserves the characteristic taste of beer. This beer will be a great refreshment for the summer season.”

Brūža beer is a specially created beer series by Cēsu alus main beer master Māris Grambergs, the brand entered the Latvian beer market in 2015 and has earned wide recognition from consumers and beer lovers. Brūža beer series includes several beers – Samtainais (Velvety), Rūgtais (Bitter), Nefiltrētais (Unfiltered), Grauzdētais (Roasted), and from this year also a separate Brūža Berry brew line with cherry, raspberry and plum beer. Brūža Cherry beer had been awarded with the gold medal of the Baltic Beer Star 2017 competition, while the Brūža Raspberry beer with the Baltic Beer Star 2018 silver medal.
